The Ultimate Coconut Cream Pie Recipe You Need To Try! Nadia’s Coconut 🥥 Cream Pie 🥧 🌴

this is a staple pie for family events- very easy to make and delicious! for those who like coconut flavoured desserts.
You want to start off by preparing your springform baking dish (9x9)and line the bottom part with parchment paper, making it easy to remove and slide pie onto serving platter once ready to assemble.
Crust Ingredients
Melted butter - 1/4
Graham cracker crumbs 1 full cup and then you take your half cup and fill it almost 3/4 of the way and top off the rest with Coconut flakes.
1 oz melted chocolate for base
Directions crust
Melt butter in saucepan over low heat- then remove from stovetop and add the dry ingredients and mix to combine- texture must resemble that of wet sand. * careful not to over saturate it, if not it will not set . Also be sure there are no dry bits, or it will not set.




Fill in your springform pan and press it evenly around the sides and bottom.




Bake at 350(180celsius) for about 10 mins - then remove to cool.

Once cooled, pour 1 oz of melted and cooled chocolate over the bottom to form a protective layer so the cream does not make the pie crust soggy.
Spread out a thin layer and set in fridge a few mins.



Pie filling ingredients
A packet of any coconut cream pie mix
A can of coconut milk 400 ml
Regular milk
Directions filling
Add your pouch of coconut filling to a saucepan- add your coconut milk to a measuring cup and top off the rest with milk to have a total of 3 cups liquid.



Add to the saucepan and stir with the coconut sachet.

Stir constantly over medium high heat, once all is smooth it will begin to bubble- reduce heat and boil for 1 min to thicken to max. Then set aside to cool.


Once cooled , fill in your pie and back in the fridge to keep cooling.


Topping ingredients
1 container whipping cream 273 ml
1 tsp vanilla extract ( we usually use coconut extract as a first option)
2 tbsp sugar
Directions
With a hand mixer- blend all these ingredients for 2-3 mins until thickened. This will be dolloped on top of the pie.



lastly, the garnish of toasted coconut flakes -2 tbsp that you lightly toasted in a saucepan over medium high heat until light brown- set aside to cool.

Add whipped topping to pie and garnish with coconut toasted coconut flakes and back in fridge for a full chill! Best 2-3 hrs.
