Crispy Roasted Oven Baked BBQ Chicken Wings/Ali di Pollo Croccanti al Forno al Barbecue

Golden browned sticky caramelized BBQ chicken wings are a great way to rock any game night ! Your family and friends are definitely going to enjoy these mouth watering, crispy oven roasted BBQ chicken wings ! 😋 They are hard to resist !
INGREDIENTS:
20 chicken wings
2 tablespoons neutral oil (30ml)
1 tablespoon black pepper (6g)
1 tablespoon smokey paprika (6g)
1 teaspoon garlic powder (3g)
Salt 🧂 (Optional)
NOTE: We did not add any salt as the BBQ sauce is well seasoned with salt
DIRECTIONS:
1) Lightly oil one baking sheet, cover with parchment paper, brush the parchment paper with another drizzle of neutral oil. This will prevent the wings to stick to the parchment paper. Prepare a second baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
2) Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels to remove all the moistness. The chicken wings need to be dry for extra crispness. Cut off the tips of the wings and keep the tips. They make a delicious chicken stock. Place them in a resealable plastic bag, in the freezer for up to 4-5 months.


3) Cut the wings in half, using the corner bone of the wings as a guidance.In a large bowl, add all the ingredients, give the wings a good toss (you can also use your hands) to make sure that all the wings are coated.


4) Place them on the parchment lined baking sheet (thicker pieces along the outside, thinner pieces on the inside). The outer part of the baking sheet tends to retain more heat.

5) Cover with a sheet of parchment, place another baking sheet. Give it a good “press down” with your hands and into a preheated 450 F (230 C) oven on lowest rack and bake for 20-25 minutes.
NOTE: By placing a baking sheet over the chicken wings will help to retain the heat to evenly bake/cook the wings.


6) After the 20-25 minute mark, put the wings in a heat proof large bowl. Pour the BBQ sauce of your choice. Give them a good mix.


7) Spread the wings on the aluminum foil lined baking sheet. Place on the middle rack - oven at broil 450 F (230C) for 10-12 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown, crispy, glossy and caramelized. Assuring that you turn over the chicken wings, halfway through the broiling.
Keep in the mind that everyones oven if different.
NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT !!!
DO NOT USE PARCHMENT PAPER WHEN BROILING ! IT TENDS TO CATCH ON FIRE 🔥!!! THAT IS THE REASON WHY WE USE ALUMINUM FOIL FOR BROILING !
