Creamy and silky Instant Pudding Pies 🥧 🥧 Vanilla & Chocolate

As my daughter Nancy mentioned in the video, this quick, simple and easy dessert was and still is one of my children’s favourite! I can’t even begin to tell you how many times, I’ve made this dessert over the past 40 years, and during the time I was raising my 4 children.


As soon as they would see me preparing the ingredients, they couldn’t wait to eat this rich and creamy, yet light tasting dessert. Till this day, my children still enjoy this dessert along with their beautiful priceless childhood memories that accompany it !


This is a no-bake pudding pie 🥧, that takes only a few minutes to put together, using minimal ingredients. Our family favourite flavours are vanilla and chocolate; however you can make this pie with other pudding flavours of your choice.

Can be made any time of the year, but especially during the summer time, as a quick afternoon treat of an after dinner dessert ! 🥧


INGREDIENTS: Vanilla Pudding Pie 🥧

One store bought 9” deep pie shell

2 cups milk

2 envelopes of Dream Whip

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 box instant vanilla pudding

1 small store bought can of sliced peaches 🍑 (OPTIONAL)


INGREDIENTS: Chocolate Pudding Pie 🥧

One store bought 9” deep pie shell

2 cups milk

2 envelopes of Dream Whip

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 box instant chocolate pudding

1 small store bought can of pears 🍐 (OPTIONAL)


DIRECTIONS: Vanilla Pudding Pie 🥧


1) Blind bake the pie shell, as directed on the package. Once baked, set aside to cool completely.

2) In a medium size glass bowl, empty 2 Dream Whip envelopes, add 1 cup of milk and the vanilla extract. On low/medium speed, whip with an electric hand mixer, till well combined. Then increase to high speed, for about 2 minutes, until peeks form.

3) Add the vanilla pudding into the whipped cream, pour one cup of milk 🥛,mix medium

speed and incorporate well, (about one minute). Scrape sides with a spatula.

4) Pour the mixture into the cooled pie shell and top with sliced canned peaches 🍑, or topping of your choice, or leave it plain.

5) This pie sets almost immediately; however place the pie in the refrigerator one hour before serving.

DIRECTIONS: Chocolate Pudding Pie


1) Follow the exact same directions as the vanilla pudding pie, with the exception by replacing the vanilla pudding with the chocolate pudding.

2) Top with sliced canned pears 🍐, or topping of your choice, or leave it plain.

Should you have any leftover pie, cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator.


Time to enjoy this light and refreshing tasting dessert, accompanied by a glass of milk 🥛, or a cup of coffee or tea ☕️ 🫖!
